The role
The Coos Watershed Association is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join their team in Coos Bay, Oregon.
What you'll do
- Coordinate existing events that inform the community about key watershed issues and empower local residents to make decisions.
- Develop and lead new volunteer events and expand the Association’s network of partners.
- Represent the Association at community outreach events.
- Support regional plant partnerships, including sending out emails and representing these groups at events.
- Coordinate weekly stewardship and education programs for alternative high school students during the school year.
- Assist with the annual fundraiser.

- Associate's degree in natural resources or education, or a high school diploma with 1-2 years’ experience with plants/community engagement work
- Strong interpersonal skills
