The role
B Lab is seeking a Communications & PR Manager to own the press office and earned media delivery, manage media relations, and support the organization's global brand and narrative. The role is based in Amsterdam, NL, and is a full-time, on-site position with no remote option.
What you'll do
- Oversee inbound media relations efforts, triaging and responding to press inquiries
- Run proactive pitching and maintain media lists
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with priority outlets, journalists, and writers to pitch for targeted coverage
- Pitch and place the thought leadership content, bylines, and narrative positioning that the Copywriter develops
- Feed press insights, media trends, and real-time news judgment into B Lab's thought leadership strategy
- Plan, write, and distribute proactive announcements and press releases
What it takes
- 5+ years' experience in media relations, PR, or press office roles
- Demonstrated track record of securing earned media coverage and managing press relationships
- Experience running press office logistics: media list management, inbound triage, and coordinating speaking/interview requests
- Experience with media monitoring and media database tools
- Experience evaluating and selecting vendor tools
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including experience ghostwriting op-eds, keynote speeches, and talking points
