The role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Communications and Multimedia Intern to support the production of high-quality video and multimedia content for regional marine and coastal initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Support planning, research, scripting, and storyboarding of video and multimedia content
  • Film and edit video content including interviews, event highlights, short documentaries, testimonials, and human-interest stories
  • Produce short-form multimedia content for digital and social media platforms
  • Edit and package multimedia materials with subtitles, graphics, transitions, sound design, and other visual elements
  • Support the development of visual storytelling products showcasing programme results, project impacts, regional initiatives, and partner engagement

What it takes

  • Enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
  • Enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme
  • Graduated with a university degree in film production, multimedia, communications, journalism, digital media, media production, visual arts or a related field
  • Demonstrate pleasant interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
  • Have a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter
