The role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Communications and Knowledge Management Intern to support the execution of communications and knowledge management for the Global Peatlands Initiative in Nairobi, Kenya.
What you'll do
- Regularly update and enhance the use of the GPI Knowledge Management tracker, fact sheets and resources for speeches, presentations, briefing notes, and/or videos
- Draft content for and update UNEP-peatlands page within the UNEP websites as well as the GPI website and partners hub, online M-Director and D-groups GPI community of practice and social media outreach channels
- Assist with preparations for the GPI Steering Committee meetings and various virtual or face to face meetings of the partnership
What it takes
- Enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Background in environmental sciences, environmental policy, biodiversity and conservation, development studies, or related field
- Fluency in oral and written English is required; fluency in French and/or Spanish is desirable
