The role
UNHABITAT Lebanon is seeking a Communication Officer (Individual Contractor) to enhance communication and visibility efforts, focusing on developing and implementing communication strategies, creating engaging content, and managing digital platforms.
What you'll do
- Develop communication and visibility plans, editorial calendars, and implementation schedules
- Create engaging content and transform technical information into accessible messages
- Write and edit communication materials in Arabic and English
- Design visibility and communication products such as newsletters, brochures, reports, presentations, banners, and social media materials
- Support in organizing events, workshops, launches, donor visits, and awareness campaigns
What it takes
- First Level University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, Digital Communications, International Relations, or a related field
- Minimum Two (2) years of professional experience in developing and implementing communication and visibility strategies, campaigns, and outreach activities
- Experience working with UN agencies, international organizations, NGOs, or development projects is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and other relevant design software is required
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required
