The role
The IDB Group is seeking a strategic, creative, and versatile Communications Consultant to support the strategic positioning and visibility of the IDB as a trusted partner for sustainable development, focusing on communications strategies and plans for Jamaica and The Bahamas.

What it takes
- Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in strategic communications, development communications, public relations, or social media/online community
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Experience within a media outlet, strategic communications agency, digital content company, private foundation, or communication office of international organizations
- Demonstrated professional experience working in Jamaica and with Caribbean countries
- Strong understanding of the local cultural environment and diplomatic protocol
