Action for Children is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead the psychological support at Rowan Tree House, a unique home for a young adult with complex needs. The role involves providing evidence-based interventions and leading on Positive Behaviour Support.
What you'll do
- Provide specialist psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions
- Lead on Positive Behaviour Support including functional behaviour assessments and PBS planning
- Deliver reflective supervision and therapeutic coaching to residential colleagues
- Translate complex psychological concepts into practical, person-centered approaches
- Work collaboratively with families and multi-disciplinary professionals
What it takes
- Doctorate (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology
- Registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, complex psychological needs, and challenging behaviors
- Strong knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and functional behaviour assessments
- Trauma-informed practice experience
