The role
The Clinical Nurse provides both direct patient care and patient care coordination, supporting the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including abortion care.
What you'll do
- Assessing medical history and appropriateness for out-patient care
- Assessing sedation and anesthesia risk
- Caring coordination for patients requiring pre-procedure planning
- Assisting physician or advanced practice clinician in procedure room as necessary
- Observing take vital signs and record patient's condition in preoperative/procedure/recovery room
- Administer medications according to standing orders and/or in collaboration with licensed staff
What it takes
- Minimum one year of experience in sexual and reproductive health care, preferably with abortion care exposure
- Current Washington registered nursing license with willingness to be licensed in other states as needed
- Proficient in IV placement
- CPR and BLS certification required
- ACLS certification, as per state requirements
- Knowledge of quality assurance and risk management standards (preferred)
