The role

Action for Children is seeking a Children's Services Worker to support the safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people through engaging activities and sessions.

What you'll do

  • Support the safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people
  • Deliver engaging activities and sessions that meet individual needs
  • Record and monitor outcomes for children
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Work collaboratively with Team Leaders and colleagues to provide high-quality support
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by listening to and acting on feedback from children, parents, and professionals

What it takes

  • Level 2 or 3 in Early Years qualification recognised by OFSTED or willingness to work toward it
  • Experience working with children and young people, either professionally, voluntarily, or through personal caring responsibilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of disabilities and additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, caring, and child-focused approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
