The role
The Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) Officer will provide technical and operational support to the CPiE drought response in Papua New Guinea, focusing on child protection assessments, capacity building, and referral mechanism strengthening.
What you'll do
- Lead child protection assessments in priority provinces
- Strengthen referral mechanisms in each priority province
- Support the design and organization of regional CPiE trainings
- Provide follow-up coaching and remote support to trained CP actors
- Monitor Child-Friendly Spaces against the CFS Toolkit Minimum Standards checklist
- Report on bottlenecks and critical issues for timely action

- At least three years of professional work experience in Child Protection
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: child protection in emergencies, case management, community-based child protection, psychosocial support, or Child-Friendly Spaces
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, culturally and socially sensitive
