The role
The Chief of Operations and Resource Management will direct and oversee the strategic mission support functions such as Human Resources, Financial Resourcing and Performance Management, Field Technology, Training, Mission Support Unit, Regional Administrative Officers (RAOs), and more.
What you'll do
- Provide overall guidance for the effective management of various mission support functions
- Ensure development, preparation, coordination, and monitoring of strategies and work plans
- Liaise with UNHQ offices to ensure coherence with HQ priorities and policies
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of the Operational Resource Management Section
- Oversee human resources management, financial resourcing and performance, ICT services, training, mission support unit, and regional administrative officers
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, management, human resources management, finance, accounting, information technology or related fields
- At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible and diversified professional experience
- Experience handling complex organizational issues at the international level is desirable
- Hands-on-experience with UN administrative/financial policies and practices is desirable
- Experience providing services to or in a field operation of the United Nations Common System or a comparable international organization is desirable
