The role

The position is located in the Office of the Director for Special Activities (DSA), in the Department of Operational Support (DOS). The Chief of Section will provide policy, operational and advisory guidance to global Secretariat client entities, support strategy development and implementation, oversee activities during critical situations, advise on overall planning and allocation of resources, manage staff recruitment, foster teamwork, and represent the organization at inter-agency meetings.

  • Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in programme management, administration, finance, human resources, supply chain, or related operational support fields
  • Experience leading strategic, operational, and organizational planning at an executive or headquarters level
  • Experience collaborating with diverse international stakeholders to lead strategic change initiatives
  • Experience managing complex budgets and resource allocations
