The role

The Chief of Section, Economic Development/Air Transport is responsible for leading and managing work programs related to air transport regulation, infrastructure economics, transparency in the civil aviation system, assistance activities for States, and supervision of the Economic Regulatory Framework Section.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage work programs related to air transport regulation
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of policies on taxation in international air transport
  • Coordinate with other sections and organizations to ensure regulatory considerations are taken into account
  • Provide support to governance and technical deliberative bodies of the Organization

What it takes

  • Advanced-level university degree (master’s or academic equivalent) in economics, law, business administration, public administration, or related discipline
  • At least ten years of experience in economic regulation of air transport or economic/commercial aspects of air transport business
  • Experience with the development and implementation of economic regulation/oversight and infrastructure financing and funding
  • Fluency in English (UN Level II)
