What it takes
- Advanced university degree in environmental sciences, atmospheric chemistry, statistics, engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GHG or SLCP inventory development, MRV system design, or climate transparency frameworks
- Familiarity with national and international climate policy frameworks, including the Paris Agreement and Article 6 mechanisms
- In-depth knowledge of greenhouse gas mitigation and experience in designing and implementing MRV systems with emphasis on CH4 and HFCs
- Strong data management skills (SQL, Python/R, GIS, LEAP or specialized inventory software like SEI’s TEMPO or CRF Reporter)
- Experience working with public institutions in the Dominican Republic
