The role

The CCAC Programme Specialist will provide specialist support for the management of CCAC programmes, projects or workstreams to ensure that they deliver high-quality results aligned with CCAC priorities and government and partner needs.

What you'll do

  • Provide specialist advice to plan, manage and deliver assigned CCAC programmes, projects, workstreams or partnership activities.
  • Develop and maintain clear workplans, schedules, scopes, budgets, implementation arrangements, risk registers and other management tools.
  • Coordinate governments, partner organisations, implementers, experts and internal contributors to ensure timely and coherent delivery.
  • Prepare high-quality strategies, project documents, proposals, briefings, presentations, correspondence and decision papers.
  • Monitor progress, results, risks and lessons; maintain complete documentation; and prepare concise internal, governance, partner or donor reporting.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in environmental science, engineering, international relations, public policy, development studies, programme or project management, communications, or another field relevant to the assignment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct professional experience in climate change and air pollution.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs), also referred to as super pollutants, including their links to climate change, air pollution and sustainable development.
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder partnerships and coordinating with different organisations or stakeholder groups.
  • Experience preparing clear written products, maintaining programme information and supporting the delivery of multiple concurrent activities.
