The role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Capacity Building Consultant to support a community-based organization (CBO) in Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal, Philippines, in strengthening its organizational, operational, and business management capacities.

What you'll do

  • Conduct a baseline assessment of the CBO’s organizational, operational, and business management capacities
  • Map and assess available resources from the government, private sector, and other prospective partners
  • Design and facilitate tailored capacity building training and coaching activities
  • Review and support the improvement of organizational policies, operational guidelines and manuals, and business processes
  • Provide regular monitoring, mentoring, and technical support during project implementation
  • Submit periodic progress reports to IOM

What it takes

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics, business management, public policy, development studies, social sciences, or related courses with a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational capacity development, business development, and institutional strengthening for community-based organizations, cooperatives, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
  • Familiarity with community development, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, or nature-based solutions programming
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, protection, inclusion, and do-no-harm principles
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluency in English, with strong communication skills
