The role

The Building and HVAC/R Technician will provide essential technical maintenance and repair services for Central Park Conservancy’s diverse collection of public and staff facilities. This hands-on role involves performing routine inspections and repairs on commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, including specialized refrigeration plants. The technician will collaborate with other departments to ensure safe, functional environments while managing work orders through a digital system. Additionally, the role requires physical labor, emergency response participation, and occasional coordination with external contractors.
