The Great Basin Institute (GBI) is recruiting a Biological Technician Research Associate to support invasive species management, habitat restoration, and natural resource conservation efforts at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge in Las Vegas, Nevada.
What you'll do
- Conducting invasive plant monitoring, inventory, and integrated management throughout the refuge
- Collecting, managing, and analyzing field data related to invasive plants
- Developing educational materials for refuge staff, volunteers, partners, and the public
- Leading volunteer workdays focused on native planting, invasive species treatment, habitat restoration, and other stewardship activities
- Assisting with biological monitoring, visitor services, and light maintenance duties as needed
