The Bilingual Housing Problem Solving Specialist at Compass Family Services will work directly with families experiencing a housing crisis in San Francisco, providing support and resources to maintain or secure housing.
What you'll do
- Offer problem-solving support to families
- Assess families’ eligibility for San Francisco’s Homelessness Response System
- Provide families with referrals for emergency overnight shelters, food and other basic needs
- Maintain up to date information about families in Salesforce database and the city-wide ONE System
- Assess and de-escalate potentially volatile situations
What it takes
- Fluency or a high level of professional proficiency in English and Spanish
- Relevant experience in social work or a related field
- Experience working with families in crisis
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to assess and de-escalate potentially volatile situations
