What you'll do
- Perform front office duties including greeting and registering patients, answering phones, making appointments, and collecting patient fees.
- Assist clinical staff during exams and procedures, and provide patient support.
- Prepare and clean exam and procedure rooms, and maintain knowledge of equipment operations.
- Perform and document laboratory tests and results, and maintain appropriate laboratory records.
- Dispense contraception and medication, and administer ordered medications and vaccines.
- Perform quality assurance activities and follow laboratory requirements.
What it takes
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from an accredited medical assistant technical program preferred
- Experience in reproductive health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology, or related medical/surgical experience
- Experience in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management (EPM) system, Office 365, and Microsoft Office
- CPR certifiable
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
