The role
Bid Writers are needed to support the Partnerships & Development team in developing high-quality, competitive and donor-compliant funding applications, concept notes, expressions of interest, proposals and tenders.
What you'll do
- Review funding opportunities and identify key requirements
- Draft and edit expressions of interest, concept notes, technical proposals, grant applications, executive summaries, capability statements and other funding submissions
- Ensure proposals respond directly to donor evaluation criteria
- Work closely with Finance to ensure consistency between the technical proposal, budget and budget narrative
- Support the development and review of budget narratives and other financial narrative components of proposals
What it takes
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in bid writing or grant proposal development
- Demonstrated ability to craft clear, concise and persuasive proposal content
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with funding platforms, donor requirements, and grant application processes
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
