The role

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Benefits Services Manager to lead a team of service officers in assisting veterans with obtaining Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) benefits.

What you'll do

  • Manage a service officer team to assist veterans with benefits claims
  • Provide performance feedback and training to team members
  • Represent WWP in public presentations and events
  • Build and maintain relationships with VA and community organizations
  • Ensure team meets or exceeds established goals
  • Stay informed on current trends and share information with team

What it takes

  • Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience
  • Three years of leadership and management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • VA certification as an accredited agent
  • ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Mission-driven and values-based
