The role

Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist II to join their Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team, providing interventions and support to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

What you'll do

  • Provide interventions to clients focusing on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism, and encouragement
  • Assist the team in providing ongoing assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
  • Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
  • Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths-based, and focused on rehabilitation
  • Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments
  • Assist with the administration of prescribed medications, as needed

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field
  • Experience working with adults with mental illness
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license
