The role

Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist I to join one of their dynamic Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) teams, providing support and guidance to adults facing severe and persistent mental health challenges.

What you'll do

  • Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
  • Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
  • Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
  • Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
  • Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Experience working with adults with mental illness
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license
