The role
Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist I to join their Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team, providing support and guidance to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
What you'll do
- Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
- Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
- Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
- Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences
- Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Experience working with adults with mental illness
- Valid Massachusetts drivers license
