The role

The Behavioral Health Technician I (BHTI) provides direct care and therapeutic support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment through milieu management, medication administration, vitals measurement, and 1:1 engagement. This role requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure trauma-informed care and accurate documentation in electronic health records.

What you'll do

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services.
  • Current QMAP, First Aid, and CPR certifications.

  • Ability to meet 6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 07 staffing standards.
  • Capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries.
