The role

Pollinator Partnership is seeking a Bee Friendly Farming Associate to assist in expanding the Bee Friendly Farming program, focusing on enrolling farms and providing technical assistance.

What you'll do

  • Enroll farms in the Bee Friendly Farming program.
  • Collaborate with other P2 agricultural programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to farmers through habitat implementation plans and direct support to landowners.
  • Coordinate and work directly with key program staff, conservation stakeholders, and sponsors.
  • Represent P2/BFF at conferences, workshops, and meetings.
  • Contribute to national habitat planning and technical assistance.

What it takes

  • S. in Environmental Science, Horticulture, Agroecology, Agronomy, Entomology, Natural Resource Management, Ecology or equivalent experience.
  • Fieldwork experience.
  • Experience working with local agricultural producers and understanding of farm operations.
  • Ability to travel locally (personal car required) and understand habitat restoration including plant ecology, site preparations, habitat installation, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of Integrated Pest Management.
  • Strong planning, implementation, and multitasking skills.
