The role
The Associate Research Manager will oversee the Emergency and Monitoring Team, manage research cycles, and ensure the provision of timely and relevant data and analysis to inform decision-making in Ukraine.
What you'll do
- Provide clear strategic and technical direction to Emergency and Monitoring Team staff
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals and professional development of team members
- Oversee day-to-day team operations, including work planning, prioritisation and workload management
- Ensure research activities align with priority information needs
- Oversee data collection modalities and ensure quality, ethical compliance and feasibility
- Lead dissemination of findings through briefings, presentations and coordination meetings
What it takes
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian setting
- Research skills with excellent quantitative and qualitative research data analysis experience
- Familiarity with aid system and research community
- Proven experience in team management in complex operational environments
- Thematic experience with humanitarian monitoring, rapid or frontline assessments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
