The role

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking an Associate Programme Management Officer to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of designated projects in the Division of Market Development, Strategies and Policy for Trade and Investment Section.

What you'll do

  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned trade and investment policy related programmes/projects
  • Monitoring and analyzing specific aspects of programme/project development and implementation
  • Providing assistance for policy coordination and evaluation functions
  • Assisting in performing consulting assignments, in collaboration with the client
  • Assisting in survey initiatives and analyzing responses
  • Contributes to the preparation of various written outputs

What it takes

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, or a related field such as international trade
  • A first level degree in business administration, management, economics or a related field such as international trade may be accepted with an additional two years of relevant professional work experience
  • A minimum of two years (4 years with a first level degree) of relevant experience in project/programme management, or related area
  • Experience in trade and investment policy is desirable
  • Experience in implementing technical assistance projects on competition law/policy in regional projects covering South-East Asia is desirable
  • Experience in proposal design and project development for trade-related technical assistance projects is desirable
