The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an Associate Programme Management Officer for their Beirut, Lebanon office. The incumbent will provide critical support to the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Regional programme by managing financial implementations, budget oversight, and grant administration. This role involves working closely with regional teams to ensure compliance with UN financial rules, monitoring expenditures, and facilitating data-driven decision-making through financial reporting.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate financial implementation and budget monitoring for assigned programmes.
  • Monitor and analyze programme development to ensure compliance with UN financial regulations.
  • Act as the Focal Point for grant creation and budget allocation within the criminal justice portfolio.
  • Prepare and review budget proposals, costed work plans, and financial reports.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to regional teams regarding funding and expenditures.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in business, public administration, finance, or economics.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible professional experience in finance or budget administration.
  • Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Experience with UN financial rules and regulations is highly desirable.
