The role

The Associate Inter-Agency Coordination Officer will provide vital coordination and process support to the Rohingya Coordination Platform (RCP) Secretariat in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The role focuses on facilitating inter-sector communication, managing the development of the Joint Response Plan (JRP), and ensuring effective information flow among UN agencies, NGOs, and government partners. The incumbent will also support reporting, donor liaison, and documentation to maintain institutional memory and coherence during a period of structural transformation in the humanitarian response.

What you'll do

  • Support day-to-day engagement with Sector Coordinators to track planning and reporting actions.
  • Draft and revise coordination documents, JRP inputs, and briefing materials.
  • Organize inter-sector meetings, including agenda setting and logistical arrangements.
  • Liaise with Information Management focal points to validate planning and monitoring data.
  • Support donor liaison and reporting efforts, particularly for Japan-funded activities.

What it takes

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in humanitarian or development program implementation.
  • Strong drafting and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting coordination processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of refugee protection principles and the UN humanitarian system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or related fields.
