The role
The Associate Director will lead the development and execution of global supply-side strategies for critical treatment commodities, building relationships with suppliers, and supporting procurement efforts in Rwanda and other program countries.
What you'll do
- Lead development and execution of global supply-side strategies for HAP, Nutrition, Assistive Technology Market
- Identify high-impact opportunities for increasing the availability and affordability of priority commodities
- Lead negotiations with suppliers on priority commodities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers
- Support CHAI Rwanda team in their work on Nutrition and Assistive Technology
- Liaise with the PCQRA, the disease team, and country teams to develop market analysis
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Public Health, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 8+ years (with an advanced degree) or 10+ years (with a Bachelor’s degree) of professional experience
- Demonstrated ability in managing large projects and teams
- Ability to be effective in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Entrepreneurial mindset: demonstrated ability to operate in an unstructured but demanding, multicultural environment independently
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, and rapidly absorb/synthesize a broad range of information
