The role

The Associate Director will lead the development and execution of global supply-side strategies for critical treatment commodities, building relationships with suppliers, and supporting procurement efforts in Rwanda and other program countries.

What you'll do

  • Lead development and execution of global supply-side strategies for HAP, Nutrition, Assistive Technology Market
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for increasing the availability and affordability of priority commodities
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers on priority commodities
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers
  • Support CHAI Rwanda team in their work on Nutrition and Assistive Technology
  • Liaise with the PCQRA, the disease team, and country teams to develop market analysis

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Public Health, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years (with an advanced degree) or 10+ years (with a Bachelor’s degree) of professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability in managing large projects and teams
  • Ability to be effective in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: demonstrated ability to operate in an unstructured but demanding, multicultural environment independently
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, and rapidly absorb/synthesize a broad range of information
