The role

The incumbent will assist with the preparation of briefing material, talking points, and other substantive documents for meetings and high-level visits and missions. They will also manage incoming correspondence and draft and review various types of correspondence.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the preparation of briefing material, talking points, and other substantive documents for meetings and high-level visits and missions
  • Ensure submission of material to within established deadlines and adhering to established quality standards and required protocols
  • Monitor incoming correspondence and manage appropriate action in coordination with relevant offices
  • Draft and review correspondence, including Note Verbales (in English and Spanish)
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the entity (as required) with Host Government authorities, draft and review minutes, monitor and facilitate follow-up actions

What it takes

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or Doctorate degree, or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or related fields is required
  • A minimum of two years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience in policy analysis and coordination or related area is required
  • Work experience in the office of a high-level senior official is desirable
  • Work experience within the United Nations system or similar international organizations is desirable
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with UN Language Framework levels II for both languages
