What you'll do
- Conduct wetland delineations, functional assessments, and related aquatic resource surveys
- Lead field teams during wetland delineation surveys and manage data collection
- Lead and prepare delineation reports and assist with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit applications
- Lead and conduct habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species
- Lead and prepare wildlife technical reports with an emphasis on Endangered Species Act compliance
- Utilize topographic maps, GPS devices, and other tools during fieldwork
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field
- Two years of relevant experience conducting wetland delineations and aquatic resource assessments
- Experience leading wetland delineation field surveys and research
- Knowledge of the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
- Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permits
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate 4WD vehicles
