Assistant ERD

The role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an ERD Assistant in Burundi to support economic recovery and livelihood programs for refugees and displaced persons. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring activities such as cash transfers and agricultural inputs. The successful candidate will also manage community-based initiatives and coordinate with local partners.

What you'll do

• Plan and supervise the implementation of economic recovery activities
• Manage cash transfers and distribution of agricultural inputs
• Coordinate with community facilitators and local partners
• Supervise and coach additional human resources
• Ensure accurate documentation and data management
• Conduct community mobilization and financial education

What it takes

• University degree in sociology, economics, agronomy, or related fields
• At least two years of professional experience
• Two years of experience with humanitarian organizations working with refugees
• Fluency in French and Kiswahili (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work under pressure and in difficult conditions
