The role
The Asociado/a de Apoyo a la Gestión de Proyectos [Drogas Sintéticas] will support the implementation of the Access to Labs, Enforcement, Response and Trace (ALERT - MEXAL6) project, focusing on the identification, securing, and collection of key information and evidence during the dismantling of clandestine laboratories, to strengthen criminal investigations and national intelligence efforts related to the illicit production of synthetic drugs and possible diversion of controlled substances.
What you'll do
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities
- Contribute to the analysis of information, development of products, and facilitation of specialized discussions
- Support the design, adaptation, and validation of materials, methodologies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to evidence preservation and management, and forensic investigation of clandestine laboratories
- Support the logistics of training sessions, workshops, and meetings
- Facilitate and support working sessions with security, justice, regulatory, and other relevant actors
What it takes
- Secondary education (Educational Superior) or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting activities related to synthetic drugs, controlled substances, drug enforcement, and related areas
- Experience in capacity building or training directed at security, justice, forensic, and regulatory institutions
- Experience implementing actions related to criminal investigations of organized crime and drug production offenses
- Demonstrated competence in the use of productivity and collaboration tools such as MS Office, G-Suite, or equivalents, as well as web-based management systems
