The role
Acted is seeking an Assistant Distribution Officer to support and participate in the entire cycle of humanitarian aid distribution (emergency kits and NFI) in temporary shelters and communities post-earthquake in Carabobo, Venezuela.
What you'll do
- Prepare, organize, and supervise the delivery of items to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring compliance with selection criteria, organizational policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure order, security, and proper operational management during distribution days, including beneficiary verification, kit assembly, crowd management, and detailed documentation of deliveries.
- Support local partners, community authorities, and beneficiary committees in organizing distribution processes and facilitating the progressive transfer of capabilities and activities.
- Ensure the inclusion and dignified access of vulnerable groups, prioritizing people with disabilities, children, pregnant women, infants, and the elderly at distribution points and service centers.
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics or humanitarian aid distribution, preferably in NGOs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for database management
- Conflict resolution, crowd control, and time management skills
