The Asistente de Compras will support procurement activities and administrative tasks for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Bolivia, focusing on supply chain management and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Perform administrative tasks for procurement to assist professional staff in acquiring goods and services for efficient operations on the ground.
- Collect data and prepare and distribute documents to support procurement activities that achieve good results, such as issuing tenders, evaluating offers, and negotiating/awarding contracts while ensuring standard processes are applied.
- Review, register, and prioritize purchase requests, ensuring all justifying documentation is received and funds are available for the acquisition of goods and services.
- Coordinate and supervise the dispatch of purchase requests, verify receipt and inspection of products, and implement follow-up measures to ensure supplies reach the headquarters and field operations.
- Seek out, collect, and present information in standard formats to make informed decisions and ensure coherent information is presented to stakeholders.
- Update, manage, and maintain relevant databases and records to ensure accuracy, organization, accessibility, and compliance with reporting obligations.
