The role
The Armed Groups and Criminal Networks Expert will contribute to the monitoring of sanctions measures, investigation of alleged violations, and reporting on the sanctions regime in Haiti.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the monitoring of sanctions measures and investigation of alleged sanctions violations or non-compliance as mandated by Security Council resolution 2653 (2022)
- Prepare reports on any violations of the sanctions regime or non-compliance
- Assist in refining and updating information on the list of designated individuals and entities
- Provide analysis of national, regional and international political developments relevant to the mandate of the Panel
- Conduct investigative missions and bilateral consultations to gather information from government authorities, private individuals and entities
What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in military science, political science, international relations, law, finance, journalism or other relevant area
- Minimum of ten years (including a minimum of three years of field experience) of progressively responsible experience in the relevant area
- Strong field research or investigative experience in the area of expertise
- Experience in writing high-quality reports
- Proven interpersonal skills in complex, political and structured working environments
