The role

The Area GBV/PSEAH Analyst supports the planning, implementation, and coordination of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEAH) interventions in Herat. This role provides technical support to partners to ensure survivor-centered service delivery and compliance with humanitarian standards. The analyst represents UNFPA in sub-national coordination forums and monitors project implementation to ensure effective accountability and protection outcomes. This position is strictly open to nationals of Afghanistan.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate daily implementation of GBV activities across the Herat area.
  • Monitor partner compliance with safeguarding and PSEAH standards.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to provide technical support to implementing partners.
  • Represent UNFPA in sub-national Protection and GBV coordination forums.
  • Support the operationalization of inter-agency referral pathways.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in sociology, public health, law, or related fields.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in GBV or humanitarian response.
  • Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto is required.
