The role
The Consultant will lead the design and implementation of the citizen participation and local governance strategy for the project in the Mesoamerica subregion, focusing on the Barrio-level Integrated Urban Operations (OUI) and the local governance and capacity building component. The role involves facilitating community, local government, and key actors' engagement in the project's intervention phases, contributing to the design of regulatory, legal, and financial instruments from a local governance perspective, and supporting the articulation and coordination with national and local governments and regional platforms.

- Support the articulation and coordination with national and local governments and regional platforms
- Conduct field missions to El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Cuba as required
- Represent the project in technical and institutional spaces related to governance and participation

- Bachelor's degree in sociology, anthropology, political sciences, urban planning with a focus on citizen participation, public management, social work, local and community development, human geography, architecture with a social focus, or related fields
- 4 years of progressive professional experience in the design, facilitation, and systematization of participatory and multi-stakeholder governance processes, participatory urban and territorial planning, participatory budgeting, community development, urban mediation, or related fields
- Experience in the design and implementation of participatory methodologies applied to urban projects, neighborhood plans, community-scale interventions, and/or Integrated Urban Operations (OUI) in Latin America and the Caribbean
