The role

The AmeriCorps Crew Leader (ACL) serves as a key partner in leading crews of young adults through intensive, hands-on conservation projects across the Appalachian region. This role involves managing project logistics, communicating effectively with partners, and ensuring the safety and emotional well-being of crew members in diverse outdoor conditions. The position requires a commitment to hard work, enthusiasm, and the ability to facilitate formal and informal learning experiences for the team. What you'll do

  • Train and motivate a crew of four young adults to complete conservation projects.
  • Manage on-the-ground quality and logistics for project work.
  • Monitor and promote the physical and emotional safety of the crew.
