The role
The IDB Group is seeking an Amazonia Sector Senior Associate to contribute to the sustainable development of the Amazon region, focusing on project implementation and coordination within the Amazonia Forever Program.
What you'll do
- Advance sectoral implementation of the Amazonia Forever Program
- Prepare evidence-driven insights and analyses for pipeline development
- Coordinate collaboration across different areas of the IDB Group

- Participate in formulation and implementation of operations and technical cooperations
What it takes
- Master’s degree in environmental, natural resource management/economics, business administration, or related fields
- At least three years (five preferably) of progressive experience in a related field
- Demonstrated experience working in Amazonian territories
- Proficiency in Spanish and English; additional knowledge of Portuguese is preferable
- Citizenship: IDB member country citizen
- No family members up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity working at IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab
