The role

The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence is seeking an AI Editor to translate complex content and safety policies into prompts and guidelines that models can reliably follow, ensuring alignment with product and research priorities.

What you'll do

• Translate complex content and safety policies into prompts and guidelines
• Improve model fluency, tone, and quality through human-in-the-loop evaluations
• Develop and apply novel prompting approaches
• Create high-quality alignment data
• Identify potential biases or limitations in model outputs
• Build and maintain quality, style, and tone guidelines

What it takes

• 5+ years of experience as an editor, content strategist, technical writer, or content developer
• Experience with human-in-the-loop AI evaluation, prompt engineering, or AI model quality assessment
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Deep curiosity about how language models work
• Comfort context-switching and partnering at all levels of the organization
