The role
Energetic Group Leaders are needed to join InnovateEDU's middle school after-school team, working on-site in Downtown Brooklyn, NY, to develop and lead daily programming, monitor and manage groups of scholars, and ensure their safety and engagement.
What you'll do
- Lead groups of participants through structured and unstructured activities
- Facilitate non-workshop activities
- Record and report daily activity attendance and performance
- Ensure the safety and engagement of participants
- Support Activity Specialists in facilitating workshops
- Attend regular meetings and staff development workshops
What it takes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year experience working with youth
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors
- Excellent group management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to youth development and education
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
