The role
The Advocacy and Outreach Intern will support the Rome Liaison Office team in carrying out visibility and advocacy activities, including organizing events such as conferences, specialized courses, and workshops.
What you'll do
- Assist with daily work related to visibility and advocacy activities
- Conduct internet research on thematic issues relevant to the UNICRI work programme
- Monitor inboxes for events and respond to queries from students and stakeholders
- Provide logistic support for in-person events hosted by the Rome Liaison Office
- Assist with planning and organization of in-person and online events
- Maintain databases for visibility and advocacy events
What it takes
- Enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage
