Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator

The role

The Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator will manage, coordinate, and mobilize advocacy and campaign engagements for an EU education project in Jigawa, Nigeria. They will work closely with various teams to influence policy, develop communication materials, and build partnerships at state and local levels. The role focuses on ensuring children, especially girls, have access to quality and safe education.

What you'll do

• Manage and coordinate advocacy and campaign engagement plans to influence stakeholders and policies.
• Lead advocacy and campaign engagements at state, local government, and community levels.
• Collabor manage the implementation of out-of-school children Campaign Strategy.
• Build capacity of project team members in advocacy and campaign techniques.
• Develop partnership networks and represent SCI Nigeria in state-level engagements.
• Produce reports, policy briefs, and communication materials for internal and external audiences.

What it takes

• B.Sc. in Social Work or equivalent (Development Economics, Education, Public Policy, Human Rights Law, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in education/development advocacy.
• Excellent English and Hausa language skills.
• Profound knowledge of Nigerian governance and education systems.
• Advanced project management and people management skills.
• Ability to write high-quality position papers and policy briefs.
