The role
The Advisor, Health Financing role involves providing strategic technical support to strengthen sustainable financing for Ethiopia's community health system within the Federal Ministry of Health.
What you'll do
- Provide strategic technical support to strengthen sustainable financing for the community health system
- Support evidence-informed policymaking and advocate for increased domestic investment
- Work closely with government stakeholders to strengthen health financing policies, budget planning, and accountability mechanisms
- Convene high-level advocacy events and develop annual community health financing briefs
- Develop policy recommendations to improve the alignment of partner financing with national community health strategies
- Track and contribute technical inputs to the PHC re-envisioning financing reform package

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Economics, International Development, Political Science, or related field
- Progress years of experience in Economics, Health Economics, Public Policy, Health Financing, or Public Health
- Professional work experience in health policy, health financing, Public Financial Management, and health systems strengthening
- Experience working with governments in a technical advisory role
- Quantitative analysis experience and skills in health economics and health financing space
- Demonstrated experience in health policy analysis in low- and middle-income countries
