The role
CIMMYT is seeking an Accounting Analyst to manage fixed assets in accordance with Mexican accounting and tax regulations and internal policies.
What you'll do
- Manage and record fixed asset transactions
- Maintain the accuracy of the Fixed Assets Register
- Perform and coordinate annual physical inventories
- Support asset disposals and auctions
- Execute monthly and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and tax regulations
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in fixed assets accounting
- Desirable: experience with VAT and tax-related accounting processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Intermediate English level
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft D365 is desirable
